A while ago I was invited by MoMA, the Museum of Modern Art, to record a guided meditation for one of Georgia O’Keeffe’s amazing paintings, Abstraction Blue. What an incredible honor!

Looking at it, I was inspired by the sense of balance it evoked, that delicate equilibrium between our inner yin and inner yang, the feminine and masculine aspects within all of us, regardless of gender.

You can use this 8 minute long meditation to acknowledge the interplay of these energies within you, allowing yourself to fully embrace both your yin/lunar aspects and your yang/solar aspects, understanding they are not separate or in conflict, but rather complementary and necessary for your overall well-being.

In this space of balance, reflect on the areas of your life where you seek equilibrium. Between doing and being, giving and receiving. Between your inner life and outer life, taking action and being still, thinking and feeling…

What adjustments can you make to find a greater sense of harmony?

Listen to this guided meditation and to the inner wisdom that arises. Trust the answers will be revealed in their own time, and that you have the ability to find balance within yourself.

Remember, this meditation is a practice, and finding balance is an ongoing journey. By regularly returning to this space of inner harmony, you can cultivate a sense of balance and integration in your life.

I hope this guided meditation serves you well on your quest for balance between your inner yin/feminine/lunar and inner yang/masculine/solar energies.
